Katie Smrcka-Duffy Fudd
Katie coached highschool varsity basketball at The Potomac School from 2003-2014. She has also coached AAU teams at many age groups. Katie led her GTS And AAU team to the Bronze medal at the 2008 AAU Open Division National Championships. Over the years, Coach Fudd has provided skills training to professional basketball players and has trained approximately 100 players that have gone on to play collegiate basketball.
In 2006, Katie was named the #18 all-time athlete, for all sports, in Northern Virginia history by the Connection Newspapers. Click here for link to the story.

- 2001 fourth-round draft selection of WNBA Sacramento Monarchs
- 2001 Street and Smith’s magazine honorable mention All-America
- 3-time all-Big East second-team selection
- 3-time all-Big East academic all-star
- Led Big East in scoring in 1999 and 2000 seasons
- 1997 ACC Rookie of the Year at North Carolina State
- Scored 2072 career points at Georgetown University
- Scored 2463 points in high school (Bishop O’Connell and James Madison)
- Named to the 1996 Nike and WBCA High School All-America teams
- 1996 Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year
- 1996 Gatorade State Player of the Year
All athletes will walk away from these trainings with not only advance player techniques, drills and knowledge, but with a new found passion for this great game! Also, advanced 10 and 11 year old athletes in elementary school will have the opportunity to train up with the middle school athletes.
WHY OUR PROGRAM? Coach Fudd have a wealth of experience, resources and networks! ReachFar clinics provide more than just skill development and training but college and/or athletic career planning and EXPOSURE! Parents will receive additional resources and workshops on nutrition and sports therapy to help their child reach their OPTIMAL POTENTIAL!
NEED ANOTHER REASON? Our sports programs are the key revenue generators for the ReachFar Foundation. We use these funds to provide local and abroad support for families in need. Some of the support we provide are, but not limited to: FREE literacy programs for local youth (see Middle School Reading Program), food, clothing and school supplies to families in need, as well as educational support for youth in the town Kitale, Kenya/Africa. When you enroll your child in a ReachFar Program, you’re not just receiving…you’re also GIVING!
